Silly bathtime fun

Although my sister doesn't remember, I can remember singing this silly song, "inka bink a bottle of ink. The cork fell out and you stink." We would point back and forth at each other and whoever was the last to be pointed at was the one who stank. I can remember laughing when Yvette stank but crying when I stunk...It is cute to see my girls enjoying in this fun just as I did when I was little. Only instead of stinking they enjoy splashing!!!

October Fun

We had a very busy October but celebrated the fall season, even though it didn't feel like fall, by picking out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch then having our friends Jaden and Mason over to carve pumpkins! Addison celebrated Halloween at school dressed as Sleeping Beauty. And bothe girls got to wear their Halloween pajamas to school on Halloween. Of course we went trick or treating with our friends. Addison held strong at being Rudolph as I told her when she asked to be Belle, "that you are a princess everyday. Why don't you be something that you can't be everyday." so she went for Rudolph...the exact thing she said she wanted to be on Nov. 1, 2007. We shall see if she is a Lumpy the elephant next year as that was what she said she wanted to be next year. Delaney was Minnie Mouse and looked sweet as can be!

Happy 4th Birthday Addison

Addison had quite the birthday season! She spent her actualy birthday at the LB aquarium where we got to see all sorts fo fun sea creatures. Then we sent to Sea World and had lunch with Shamu. Addison sure knows a lot about Manatees! Before we reached the exhibit she told us that Manatees don't eat meat & sure enough when we got there they were eating a lunch consisting of lettuce! She got to celebrate at home with a corn bread muffin topped with Addison's favorite...butter! Her friend party was at Bounce U...everyone had a blast there...even the grown ups!

Dancing Delaney

Delaney loves to listen and dance to Farmer Tad's banjo. This afternoon she danced over and over and was having so much fun. She tried to wake up Addison to join in on her fun but sissy was resting up for parents night out tonight!

Summer Fun

The true summer months have passed but the fun memories are still a big topic in our house. We spent so much time in the pool splish splashing about!. Even Delaney finally got into the splashing fun! She is so comfortbale in the water that she LOVED wearing the floaties on ther arms and just floating and kicking about in the pool. The girls thoroughly enjoy being outside...Delaney loves it so much that when we get home she often times run to the back door and cries to go out. Now that the weather has cooled down to below 100' we have ventured to the park and on a big ride to the smoothy shop...

A Blustery Day

A monsoon was on it's way into town and Addison wanted to go out and spin in the wind. She was being so silly...And of course when she is done performing she wants to see herself! It must be nice to see yourself right away. I can remember as a kid that by the time we saw the pictures we took we forgot we even did whatever the picture was of.

Little Laney Lou

Laney is getting to be so big. She loves to walk around with her truck &/or push her sister around. She is also a big climber. She has mastered the stairs, climbs up the stepping stool & even likes to climb into the dishwasher...She sure is a handful, but so much fun!

Breakfast with the Otter

Addison & I went to breakfast with the otter. We got to pet the otters cousin, the ferrat. He sure was stinky. After breakfast we got to go meet the new baby otter, MaKena, and feed her otter pots (fish frozen in ice)

Little Nemo

Addison has become quite a good swimmer. She is taking lessons once a week (her "favorite day") and can now officially swim all by herself without any floaties!

Miss Independent

Delaney gave Independence Day a true meaning when she took her first steps all by herself on July 4th. Her first steps were to her big sister Addison!!!

Girly Girl

Addison went to her friend Arianna's Pirate Princess party at Girlie Girls. They girls had so much fun getting their make up and hair done. They looked so cute all done up eating chocolate fondue...It sure is fun being a girl!!!

Tempe Town Lake Splash Pad

We braved the 100'+ weather & headed to Tempe Town Lake's Splash Pad. Addison LOVED splashing about, going down the slide & dragging her feet through the "lazy river". She was brave enough to go under the waterfall this year! Addi & Mommy had fun seeing which shoe (right or left) would make it down the "lazy river" first.

Delaney had fun walking through the water and doing the crab walk so she did not get her suit wet. She enjoyed watching Addisoin have fun but the most emjoyable thing for both girls was sharing a sour green apple snow cone!!!

Elephant Breakfast

Addison, Delaney & I went to Breakfast w/ the Elephants at the Phx Zoo. We got to go in the elephant yard and leave them cookies for breakfast. Despite the down pour of rain the night before & lots of mud puddles, which were like quick sand, we had a great time hiding the cookies. The 1st cookie that the elephant found was one that Addison hid in the keg. It was so neat to see them so close...

Take me out to the ballgame

The 4 of us went to the D-Backs vs. Tigers game on Sun. We all had a good time & the D-Backs won!!! Delaney fell asleep in the middle of the 7th inning stretch & Addison covered her ears everytime the crowd got loud. They both enjoyed playing in the "Sand Lot" play area for a few innings...and Mom and Dad got to enjoy watching a few innings of the game!

It's Pool Time

Addison had a "ppol party" this past weekend. She had 2 of her friends over to swim. The girls swam non-stop all day long only getting out of the pool for a quick popsicle & macaroni 'n' cheese. Arianna declared Shawn as the best mac n cheese maker! The girls had a blast. What a perfect way to start the 100' weather.

Drama Mama

Delaney's nickname at school is 'drama mama' because she is so dramatic. If another baby comes by her, when she is in a mood, she will break out in total hysterics & even throw herself back. My mom says she is like a light switch. She will cry and cry and then once I pick her up she stops immediatley...she is off and on. That's my little Drama Mama!

Mohawk Girls

Addison and Delaney showing off their mohawks in the bath tub. One of my fondest memories is my sister and I with mohawks in the bath, so it is neat to pass it on to my girls...

Peek A Boo

Delaney's new favorite game is peek a boo. She will crawl into the bathroom and wait for us to call her. Then she peeks out & laughs, then she goes back into the bathroom and does it all over again...

I Love my baby sister

Addison LOVES her baby sister. Every day she says, "I love my baby sister." She plays with her and does all that she can to make her laugh! Delaney LOVES it when sissy spins around in circles and then falls to the ground. It is very apparent that both girls love each other so much. It is so neat to see such love between two sisters at such a young age.

Addi's a Little Teapot

Addison loves to sing and dance. Here she is singing a song that she learned in her yoga class!

Bath Time

Delaney loves being in the bath. Anytime she hears the bath water running she crawls as fast as she can into the bathroom and pulls herself up. Delaney always starts out in the bath by herself and half way through Addison has to join her. We fill the tub up for Addison just until Delaney's "boat" starts to float. Then the girls play and splash each other. Delaney loves it when Addison blows bubbles in the water or "spits" the water up like a fountain.
